The Icom RC-28 is an optional USB encoder that can be used with the RS-BA1 IP Remote Control Software. This device will connect to the USB port on your PC via the supplied USB cable. Utilizing the same tuning knob and encoder used on Icom HF radios, this accessory provides a "radio-feel" option to complement the IP remote control software. The RC-28 controls features a sturdy push-to-talk and two user-programmable function keys.

    This is truly a simple device to install. Plug it into a USB port and you're DONE! The RS-BA1 V2 software immediately finds it, and no further or future tweaking or installing is required! It has additional utilization for the "fancier" Icom transceivers, but it works as a great VFO for the 7300. AND the Transmit button can be set to either turn on and then turn off transmissions OR to Press and Hold while transmitting (that's my choice). I like mine!!
