    the mic is designed to never need adjusting to me. I connected it to the radio and made 2 adjustment to the 7300 audio. I am used to Icom and started out with the mic gain on 50 and the compression on 5 at half scale and never looked back. Daily complements on the audio.

    Received my order within 3 days boxed well in great condition works fantastic on my icom 746 pro got good signal reports worked 2 different states right off with it settings only needed to be at 25% on the mic and 50% on my rig sounds fantastic works flawless good mic for the price very nice complement to my 746 pro I do recommend it

    I ordered two of the SM-30 microphones for my Icom 9700 and 7300 radios from MTC. Excellent reports on the audio from stations on the Nets I participate in. I actually disconnected the hand mic and switched to the SM-30 without telling anyone. The NCS noticed and said I had gone from "good and readable" to "loud and clear" without knowing I had switched microphones. 73 Keith WD0FIA

    I'm using it with an IC-2000H. Recent contact a distance of 40 miles on 2 meters, he said I was a DX contact. Signal strength was not the best but the audio punch was outstanding, he said. The new SM-30 makes a big difference for signal clarity.To say it's recommended is like an under statement.I can say the same thing about Main Trading Company too - My highest Recommendation.

    For the price this microphone is had to bet. Small footprint makes it easy to move out of the way when space is an issue. Also good reports using it with an IC-7300

    The Icom SM-30 mates wonderfully with the IC-7300
    Full rich audio, and lots of headroom for adjustment.
    Weighted base stay put, and buttons are large and easy to access. A great add-on for a radio that is superb in its own right!!! Great reports and glowing compliments!
