   Nice size, works well, good price and usual fast service from MTC. Probably not for an audiophile. Much better than the built in speaker on my FT-857.

4. Crisp audio

   Well satisfied with the speaker,audio is loud and clear without any distortion even at high volume. Recommended to all of my ham radio friends. They all loved the sound of it. Volume is only set between 8 & 9 o'clock compare to my old speaker set at 2 o'clock.
   
   CONS: Cord is not long enough, had to use an extension.
   
   MFJ at least should have thought of other people's preference of where/how they mount the speaker and routing of the wire. Mine, I'd rather be hidden than expose, looks ugly. I always want my radio set-up ckean, nice and neat.

5. MFJ-281 ClearTone External Speaker Well worth the price.

   The MFJ-281 ClearTone External Speaker at $16.00 was a good buy. The tone is excellent and is right up there with the two Western Bell speakers I have that have served me well onver the last 20 years.

   I bought this speaker for a mobile installation with a TYT TH7800.Im happy that I chose this one versus the more expensive ones!It works great. If I had needed a very high quality speaker ( such as home use)I would've gone for the more expensive unit but for my application it works fantastic.
