Tecsun PL-880 Portable Digital PLL Dual Conversion AM/FM, Longwave & Shortwave Radio with SSB (Single Side Band) Reception

 

The Tecsun PL-880 offers features not previously available in a radio of this size and price. As expected, you get full coverage of long wave 100-519 kHz, AM from 520-1710 kHz, shortwave from 1.7-30 MHz and FM from 64-108 MHz. Designed for the serious listener and DXer, you can select four bandwidths in AM mode:  9, 5, 3.5 or 2.3 kHz and five bandwidths in SSB mode: 4, 3, 2.3, 1.2 and 0.5 kHz. A mere 3,050 memories are available.

This radio even has interesting undocumented features such as sync. lock, variable muting, adding seconds display, etc.

Your Tecsun PL-880 system includes:  carry pouch, ear buds, wire antenna, USB cable and #18650 Li-ion battery.

    Just arrived today putting the PL880 through the tests as I’m a late night AM DXer so far Excellent receive the Boston, chicago Toronto and other stations. As Compare my receive the same stations on ETON 750 ELITE, CCRANE Skywave SSB, Note use telescopic whip each device. The TECSUN PL880 best sound speaker to me less fading. Enjoying my new 880 and oh my Sangean AT909X2 soon to arrive. My opinion so far i like the ergonomics tune knob and the fine tune is nice. The PL880 is easy to use nothing overly complicated. It came in a well packed box and i like the zipper case. I always have a shortwave receiver with me for short travel trips at home and keep one at work local stations for road traffic alerts and weather. This Tecsun PL880 is an excellent radio.

    I use this radio to hunt down power line noise that is interfering with my amateur station. I can find the general location of the noise and pass it on to the power company.

    I am very pleased with Tecsun PL-880 ssb reception is on par or better then my Grundig satellit 700. The small size makes it very easy to take anywhere. It has all the features I need and the zippered case protects it from damage. All in all itn is a great little radio. 73

    Better then I expected , picked up Amateur stations
    and short wave stations in the house .
    with just the Antenna rod on the Radio

    Great for looking for RF inference is coming from .
