Great replacement for my Tram 1480. Mounted onto rooftop tripod with 10 ft. mast. Works great. Excellent customer service and fast shipping from MTC. Would definitely buy more from these folks.

When I purchased this 1481, I was done building antennas for amateur bands. Everything I built worked great, but I live in a very windy environmental surrounding. After reading the reviews on the Tram1481, I decided to give it a try. Great tx/rx with low SWR's.

Great antenna with very good gain and good construction. Only draw back is I think it needs sealed at joints, which I do.

Easy to assemble. Put it up on a 29' mast, and can easily hit repeaters 55 to 60 miles away. Would definitely buy again if I needed to.

I live in a rural area. Many of my club members live miles apart in different directions. Communications was difficult with the old vertical although it worked well for many years. I bought this antenna for better coverage. Didn't want to be swinging a yagi (beam) to reach multiple contacts. Outta the box to mounted and working in less that 45 minutes. 16 repeaters easily plus 40 to 50 miles simplex with 5w. GREAT!!!
