This radio model does not include a rechargeable battery but includes the AA battery case. Radio looks great and has no issues. Radio comes with all factory accessories inside of the original box.

"SPORT" models are the most affordable because they are provided with a handy BP-263 Battery Case for AA cells, instead of a rechargeable battery pack and charger. Even with alkaline batteries, these handhelds give you a full 5.5 Watts of RF power in a small, lightweight package.

These IC-V80 SPORT handhelds also have an internal VOX function for hands-free operation when used with an optional headset and plug-adapter cable. These transceivers use a special sound amplifier that doubles the audio output to 750 mW! Their large speaker delivers loud and intelligible audio.

With their 207 alphanumeric memory channels, you can pick and choose your desired scanning. CTCSS and DTCS tone codes provide quiet stand-by and allow you to use tone-access repeaters.
