U16692 Used Drake SW8 World Band Shortwave Receiver

This receiver is in great shape. There are a few minor scratches, but no major imperfections. This unit works great and has no major issues overall. There is a bit of dust on the exterior of this unit. The screen is clear and very legible, the buttons click well, the knobs spin nicely, and the antenna telescopes all the way out. The handle is also very sturdy and fully intact. This receiver comes with the wall adaptor/ power supply, but no other accessories. It does not come in the original box, but makes for a great purchase.

The Drake SW8 is a portable communications receiver covering 100 to 30000 kHz in AM, USB and LSB modes. Quality reception of the AM broadcast band and all of shortwave is assured. Drake elected to include the FM broadcast band in the SW8 (87 -108 MHz). The extra heavy, forward facing speaker, along with a tone control, combine to offer pleasing fidelity. As a bonus, the VHF aeronautical band is also featured (118 - 137 MHz).
