A Major MTC Milestone: 20,000 Used Items!
We've hit a big one. About ten years ago, we started tracking our used gear with a dedicated stock number system — what you now know as our "U" numbers. Before that, we were piecing together serial numbers to keep track. By the time we made the switch, we had already processed well over 10,000 trades. We started fresh at U1, and later today we'll be launching U20000.
That's 20,000 used items processed in ten years or less — roughly 2,000 trade deals per year. We couldn't have done it without you, and we want to say thank you for being part of this milestone.

See You at the Mena Hamfest!
We've had a lot of calls and emails asking if we'll be at the Queen Wilhelmina Hamfest (aka "The Hamfest in the Clouds") in Mena, Arkansas — and the answer is yes!
That said, things will look a little different this year. We've scaled back our hamfest operations significantly — no more giant trucks and trailers. Richard now rolls in a Jeep Gladiator, so we're traveling light and planning to actually relax and enjoy the weekend.
Here's what to expect from us at the show:
- SPE Amplifiers on display: We're bringing two or three SPE amplifiers to show. They won't be available for purchase at the show, but we will be taking orders.
- Very limited gear for sale: We simply can't haul much. However, if you call the store before September 8th and make a deal, we'll bring your paid order to the show. This is especially worthwhile on larger items where shipping costs add up.
- Trades welcome — with advance arrangements: If you're planning to trade at the show, please arrange everything, including full payment, before September 8th.
- Online specials and order processing: We'll have some online deals running and can process orders at the show.
Want to Sell Without Setting Up a Booth?
We can help with that too. Fill out our trade request form and indicate that you're selling. We'll be happy to pick up your items at the show — just make sure everything is packed in original boxes or secured for safe travel. We won't be able to accept anything that isn't properly boxed, as space in the trailer will be tight.
About the Queen Wilhelmina Hamfest
If you've never been, this is one of our absolute favorites. Set in the Ouachita Mountains, it's a truly special event — especially if you're lucky enough to snag a room at the lodge or a campground spot. We can't wait to see you there.
