Here at MTC Radio, we're excited to share some big news — we're growing! Please join us in welcoming the newest member of our crew, Mark Johnson, W5PTX, to the MTC Radio team!

A Familiar Face

If you've been a customer of ours, there's a good chance you already know Mark. He's been a loyal MTC customer for years, and now he's trading in his shopping cart and joining us on this side of the counter. We couldn't think of a better fit.

A Ham at Heart

Mark hails from Paris, Texas, and has been a licensed amateur radio operator since 2020. He's the president of the Red River Valley Amateur Radio Club, an active POTA activator, and enjoys contesting and ragchews alike. You'll find him on SSB, FT8, and RTTY — and he's a regular on the local repeaters too. Honestly, a guy who loves radio this much fits right in around here.

What Mark Will Be Doing

To start, Mark will be focused on getting our used gear inventory listed and ready for you on the site. So if you've been waiting for more pre-owned equipment to show up — good things are coming. Over time, we're looking forward to bringing him into sales, customer service, and more as he learns the ins and outs of our little mom-and-pop operation.

As Mark put it himself: "I look forward to joining the MTC crew."
