The Kenwood YG-82CN-1 Roofing Filter is available to install and upgrade the Kenwood TS-890S. Essentially a first IF crystal filter, this 270 Hz model is the only optional filter and the narrowest available for the Kenwood TS-890S HF and 6 meter transceiver. Typically used by CW operators, this filter adds the ability to reduce or eliminate interfering signals from adjacent frequencies and improve reception of weak signals. The fully equipped TS-890S will have this filter!
