The RadioShack HTA20  is a compact 2-meter (144–148 MHz) VHF linear power amplifier equipped with a built-in receive pre-amplifier featuring a helical resonator. Designed to boost low-power 2m handheld transceivers (HTs) up to 30 Watts RF output power, it operates on a standard 12V–13.8V DC negative-ground power supply.

Accepting drive levels from 0.5 to 5 Watts, the HTA20 automatically senses RF carrier input to trigger transmit amplification, making it a great mobile or desktop companion to expand the range of 2-meter handhelds.
