The exterior casing, main tuning dial, rotary knobs, rubber buttons, and high-contrast LCD screen on the transceiver are clean and solid. FC-30 Tuner Condition Note: The attached Yaesu FC-30 automatic antenna tuner is untested, as it is missing the required DIN control interconnect cable. Includes  DigiRig interface module for digital modes, dynamic handheld microphone, DC power lead, and printed instruction manual.

The Yaesu FT-897D is a legendary, rugged "shack-in-a-box" multi-mode transceiver covering HF (1.8–30 MHz), 50 MHz (6m), 144 MHz (2m), and 430 MHz (70cm) amateur bands. Capable of running on 13.8V DC power (delivering 100W HF/6M, 50W 2M, 20W 70cm) or optional internal batteries, it is designed for both desktop base operating and portable field ops.

This unit comes equipped with a side-mounted Yaesu FC-30 automatic tuner module (untested due to missing control cable) and a DigiRig mobile interface, making it ready for digital communications like FT8, JS8Call, PSK31, and RTTY.
