Overall Condition: Used, fair physical condition! The front faceplate panel, illuminated dual meters, tuning dials, and label text are in good condition and completely free from defects. Cabinet & Hardware Notes: The outer metal cabinet case shows general surface nicks and scuffs, and is missing some enclosure screws. The remaining cabinet screws holding the cover are non-original replacements. Equipped with a heavy-duty NEMA 6-15 240V AC power plug.

The Ameritron AL-80B is a classic 1000-Watt PEP output HF linear power amplifier utilizing a single heavy-duty 3-500Z power triode tube. Covering 160 through 15 Meters, it is a reliable workhorse for achieving high power out of your ham station.

Equipped with a tuned grid-input system, air-choke cooling system, dual multi-meters for grid/plate monitoring, and dynamic ALC circuit control, the AL-80B provides efficient, high-power amplification for desktop base operations.

• General: Pre-owned, good functional presentation with cosmetic case wear

• Front Panel & Controls: Plate, Load, Band selector, Multimeter, ALC Set, and Power/Standby rocker switches are clean and solid with intact graphics

• Meter Face: Dual analog meters (Grid/Plate current and SWR/Multimeter) are clean and readable

• Enclosure & Case: Outer metal cover shows surface nicks; missing some cabinet screws, and existing fasteners are non-original hardware

• Rear Panel & Power Lead: SO-239 RF IN / RF OUT jacks, ALC/Relay RCA ports, 12VDC output, fuse holders, and heavy-duty 240V NEMA 6-20 plug power cable are clean

• The amp makes plenty of high voltage and is working great. Due to a weak tube the amp does not put out full power. It does need a new tube
