U20492 Used Yaesu VX-8DR 50/144/430 Triple-Band Heavy Duty Submersible Transceiver

This pre-owned Yaesu VX-8DR is in good overall cosmetic condition, with a solid, well-kept chassis and clean keypad buttons. The front display has faint, fine surface scratches that are only visible when viewed under direct light at specific angles, leaving screen characters and readouts clear during normal use. The unit comes well-outfitted with valuable accessories, including an external speaker mic, rapid charging equipment, an emergency AA alkaline battery case, and a CT-136 GPS antenna adapter.

The Yaesu VX-8DR (VX-8 series) is an ultra-rugged, compact multi-band submersible handheld transceiver built to meet rigorous outdoor and emergency communications demands. Delivering up to 5 Watts of FM RF output on the 50 MHz (6M), 144 MHz (2M), and 430 MHz (70cm) amateur bands, it also provides wideband receive coverage from 500 kHz to 999.99 MHz (cellular blocked). Designed with IPX7 submersible waterproofing standards (3 feet for 30 minutes), true dual-receive capability (V+V, U+U, V+U), integrated APRS data communications, and dedicated GPS expansion ports, the VX-8DR remains a benchmark portable for backcountry adventures, public service, and emergency response.
