U20548 Used Elecraft SP4 Ultimate Communications Speaker for K4/K4D/K4HD

U20548 Used Elecraft SP4 Ultimate Communications Speaker for K4/K4D/K4HD

This pre-owned Elecraft SP4 external communications speaker is in pristine, near-mint condition with no blemishes, scuffs, or defects to note. The matte black metal cabinet, perforated front steel grille screen, crisp white faceplate lettering, front A/B selector pushbutton, and underslung wire tilt bail are immaculate. The rear connection panel—housing the 3.5mm stereo Input A, Input B, and secondary SP4 pass-through audio jacks—is spotless with clean, tight contacts. It comes complete with a gold-plated 3.5mm stereo audio patch cable and the original printed Elecraft owner's manual.

The Elecraft SP4 is a custom-engineered, high-performance external communications speaker designed to acoustically and aesthetically complement the Elecraft K4, K4D, and K4HD transceivers (as well as the K3, K3S, and KPA500). Built into a rigid, acoustically damped metal enclosure tailored to match the height and styling of the K4 line, it features a heavy-magnet, wide-range internal driver custom-voiced for communications audio. It effectively enriches vocal articulation on SSB, provides crisp tone definition on CW, and dampens high-frequency receiver hiss to significantly reduce listening fatigue during long operating stretches. Dual rear stereo inputs (Input A and Input B) are easily toggled using the front-panel pushbutton, and an integrated pass-through jack allows simple daisy-chaining to a second SP4 speaker for monitoring dual-receiver or diversity channels in true stereo.

Condition

• Cosmetic Condition: Pristine pre-owned condition. Free of marks, scratches, chips, or finish blemishes across all metal surfaces.

• Front Grille & Panel: The perforated front metal grille is straight, clean, and dent-free. The front-panel A/B input switch clicks crisply, and the folding bottom wire tilt bail deploys smoothly.

• Rear Terminals: Input A, Input B, and "Output to 2nd SP4" 3.5mm stereo audio jacks are clean, unbent, and corrosion-free.

• Accessories & Documentation: Includes a clean 3.5mm stereo patch cable and the original printed Elecraft SP4 owner's manual sheet.

Key Features

• Engineered for Elecraft K4 Series: Harmonizes perfectly with the cabinet dimensions, matte-black finish, and audio output stages of the K4, K4D, and K4HD.

• Communications-Tailored Acoustics: Carefully equalized frequency response optimizes voice and CW clarity while attenuating background static and hash.

• Dual Switchable Inputs: Rear-panel 3.5mm stereo inputs let you switch between two rigs or audio sources with the push of a front-panel button.

• Dual-Speaker Stereo Pass-Through: Rear output jack routes the right audio channel directly to a secondary SP4 for full spatial stereo diversity listening.

• Resonance-Damped Cabinet: Heavy-gauge metal housing minimizes cabinet vibration and hollow box resonance, even at elevated shack volumes.

• Front Elevation Tilt Bail: Integrated folding wire bail tilts the front baffle upwards to project audio directly toward the operator.
