The text, directional arrow, frequency range, and power rating on the faceplate remain completely clear and legible. The cylindrical brass body and knurled grip ring retain a clean natural finish free of corrosion, heavy pitting, or dents. The side spring-loaded electrical contact finger and white protective insulating cap are clean, intact, and undamaged.

The Bird 250H is a precision, calibrated plug-in directional RF sensing element engineered for use with the industry-standard Bird Model 43 wattmeter, 4304A series, and 7/8" line sections. Calibrated for full-scale measurement across the 2 to 30 MHz high-frequency spectrum, it accurately measures forward or reflected CW, FM, AM, and SSB RF power up to 250 Watts full scale with ±5% of full-scale accuracy. Rotating the element 180 degrees within the meter socket allows instantaneous toggling between forward and reflected power measurements without disturbing coaxial transmission lines. Built with Bird’s precision internal pickup loop and diode detector circuitry housed in a rugged machined brass casing, the 250H is an essential tool for HF station bench-testing, tuning, and ongoing field maintenance.
